About Certified Reference Materials (CRMs)
With global laws differing on GMO importation and labeling, it can be challenging to ensure compliance. Labs need reliable materials to detect and quantify genetically modified traits.
The European Commission (EC) requires a validated published method for detecting a new genetically modified event and a CRM must be available before the EC will authorize a new crop. Several nations outside of Europe require grain and ingredients to be labeled as genetically modified when trait levels exceed mandated thresholds.
AOCS provides Certified Reference Materials (CRMs), accredited by A2LA to ISO 17034:2016 and designed for use in quality control and calibration of GMO detection methods. Labs can use AOCS CRMs as part of this analysis.
Ensure your lab follows global regulations and delivers accurate, reliable results.
