COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In September 2024, EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) released a report that concluded that hexane approval for food should be reassessed. In this seminar, Anne-Cécile will share key insights on recent and upcoming regulatory shifts in Europe and explore the timelines and trends shaping solvent use.
MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:
Anne-Cécile (Jousseau) Signoret is a French toxicologist and regulatory affairs leader with over two decades of experience in the fragrance, cosmetics, and sustainable ingredients industries. She is currently Public Affairs and Regulatory Director at EcoXtract, where she develops regulatory strategies and fosters trusted partnerships with policymakers to advance natural, non-toxic extraction solutions for food and feed applications.
Previously, Anne-Cécile spent more than 15 years at CHANEL, where she managed perfume safety and regulatory dossiers, followed by senior regulatory leadership roles at SC Johnson and Symrise AG, guiding global teams on compliance, product safety, and advocacy. She is a co-author of research on fragrance allergens published in Contact Dermatitis and is recognized as an ERT-certified toxicologist.
Educated as a chemical engineer at the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille, she holds advanced training in toxicology from Université Paris Descartes and dermato-cosmetic sciences at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
