In-depth Interpretation of New EU Detergents Regulation (EU) 2026/405 & Practical Compliance Roadmap

EU 2026/405 entered into force this year and will fully replace the current Detergents Regulation on September 23, 2029. Most leaders in the sector know it’s coming, but many don’t yet have a clear picture of what it will require, which parts of the transition period matter most, or how it connects to the rules they already follow.

This webinar helps close that gap. It will help leaders prioritize the decisions they need to start making now: what needs early attention during the transition period, what can wait, and how will the new regulation interact with frameworks like REACH, CLP, and the Green Claims Directive. It also explains newer concepts such as digital labelling and product passports in practical terms and shows how the regulation may affect biodegradability claims for polymers and films.

Ola Lilaj is a Regulatory and Government Affairs Specialist at RECH24H Consulting Group, bringing a combination of experience from regulatory authorities, trade association and consultancy. Based in the EU branch of REACH24H, she manages a wide range of global compliance projects for international clients across several regulated sectors including cosmetics, chemicals, food, and consumer products.

Ola has industry experience and background in stakeholder engagement through her work at Cefic, where she served as Manager for four industry associations within the Specialty Chemicals Department, including the surfactants sector. In this role, she worked closely with industry representatives, policymakers and regulators on key regulatory and advocacy issues. Prior to joining Cefic, Ola was part of the Hazard Assessment Directorate at ECHA, where she developed in-depth expertise in the REACH Regulation and the broader EU chemicals regulatory framework, including her involvement in the titanium dioxide dossier.
