MEET PHIL KERR
Phil Kerr
2025 Protein and Co-Products Division Lifetime Achievement Awardee
Phil Kerr is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of leadership in food, feed, ingredient innovation, and agricultural biotechnology. Throughout his career, he has held key roles at major corporations and startups alike, driving strategic growth and technology development across the food and nutrition landscape.
Known for his collaborative leadership style, Phil has successfully built and led cross-functional teams focused on delivering ingredient-based solutions that enhance human and animal health. His expertise spans protein quality, nutrition science, scientific affairs, and the commercialization of cutting-edge food technologies.
Phil is also a recognized mentor and thought leader in the industry, with a strong track record of fostering talent and forging impactful partnerships. A long-standing member of AOCS, he previously served as Governing Board President and continues to contribute his knowledge and guidance to the Society.
He holds advanced degrees in food science and brings a systems-thinking approach to aligning innovation with evolving market and consumer needs. Phil recently began a new chapter as a founding partner with Nōdl Advisors, a firm focused on enabling science-driven ventures in food and agriculture.
