The Processing Division Student Excellence Award recognizes graduate students presenting an outstanding oral or poster presentation within the Processing technical program at the AOCS Annual Meeting.

Who is eligible?
Graduate students presenting within the Processing Division technical program at the AOCS Annual Meeting who have never received the Processing Division Student Award

Login to the Awards Portal to submit the following application materials.
- Complete application questions using the Awards Portal
- Letter of support from the student’s academic advisor
- At least one other letter of support from anyone familiar with the student’s academic endeavors
- University transcripts
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae
- Abstract submitted for the current year’s AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo

Jasmin Yang
Jasmin S. Yang is a PhD candidate in Dr. Juliana de Moura Bell’s lab at the University of California, Davis. Her research focuses on developing sustainable processing strategies to extract functional proteins and bioactive oligosaccharides from black beans and lentils. Jasmin is treasurer of the Food Science Graduate Student Association at UC Davis and is an active student member of the American Oil Chemists’ Society. Jasmin holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Food Science & Technology from Oregon State University.
