The ACI/CFAA Glycerine Innovation Award of the AOCS Industrial Oil Products Division recognizes outstanding achievement for research in new applications for glycerine with emphasis on commercial viability. Sponsored by the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) and the Clean Fuels Alliance America (CFAA).

- Scientists who have conducted research which has led to new applications for glycerine with emphasis on commercial viability
- Preference is given to research that has existing or potential commercial applications

Mohamed El Doukkali, Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Sultan Moulay Sliman
Dr. Mohamed El Doukkali was born on April 11, 1980, in Tangier (Morocco). He studied chemical engineering and catalysis, receiving his MSc. (2009) and PhD (2012) from the University of Basque Country (Bilbao-Spain). Since 2014, he is associate professor of physical-chemistry at the University of Sultan Moulay Slimane (Morocco), where he led various research projects focused on the development of catalytic processes for the synthesis of value-added chemicals and fuels from renewable resources. In 2021, he was awarded the excellent MSCA fellowship from the EU’s H2020 program at the University of Lille (France), where he successfully implemented his CatGTP project on “bioglycerol-to-propylene catalysis”.
