Newman serves as the Senior Director, Programs at AOCS.  In his role, he oversees the AOCS business units: technical services, meetings and publications departments.

Prior to joining AOCS, Newman served as the Director of Special Projects for the International Association of Convention and Visitor Bureaus.  In this capacity, Newman's responsibilities included IACVB meeting managements and supervision of all IACVB publications and research studies.

Newman earned a degree in organizational design from the University of Michigan, where he was honored as a University Angell Scholar.
