|Clapper, as a member of the AOCS Technical Department, coordinates international method development and harmonization, liaises with industry partners to expand the Laboratory Proficiency Program, and develops resources and technical materials needed for myriad AOCS purposes.
Clapper holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois, is an active member of AACC International, AEIC (Past President), ASTA, and ASTM International.
AOCS is the US Administrator of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to ISO TC 34 (Food Products) and the Secretariat to ISO/TC 34/SC 16 (Molecular Biomarker Analysis). Clapper administers the US-TAG to ISO/TC 34/SC 16, as well as assists the other areas of ISO participation when needed. These include:
Clapper manages AOCS' program for Certified Reference Materials (in accordance with ISO Guides 30-35). She is married to a grain farmer in central Illinois and is familiar with maize, soya, wheat, and alfalfa production.
