Bridging the gap between young professionals and established professionals. Our hope is this group provides you with the needed connections who can offer advice and support in your early career while making connections to develop your professional network.
Any member (non-student) within 7 years of receiving your highest post-secondary degree is a member of this group. Age is not a defining consideration.

Annual Meeting Sessions
We organize sessions during the annual meeting which focus primarily on professional development.
Current plans for the 2015 session continue the theme of mentoring. Session development should be finalized by early Fall. Let us know if you have a topic you feel the group should offer?
2014 – Progression of Your Early Career
Our first technical session focused on student and professional’s career development. This session provided attendees with the opportunity to hear, learn and ask questions from those with a passion for mentoring for a rewarding a successful career.
Professional Pathways – Inform articles
As a member in AOCS you have access to Inform – the Society’s business news and information magazine. Within the magazine you’ll discover feature articles that provide overviews, industry trends and challenges, along with the feature “Professional Pathways”. AOCS members discuss their professional experiences and share advice for those just beginning their career. Bryan Yeh’s article was published in September 2013. (pdf)
