   Kathy Heine is managing editor of Inform magazine.

Kathy joined AOCS in March 2011. Her previous work experience includes jobs at the Beckman Institute for the Advancement of Science, the University of Illinois’ highly ranked Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Eli Lilly and Company, Monsanto Company, the world’s largest timeshare exchange company (RCI), and two world-class medical centers (at Washington University and Northwestern University).

She has a bachelor's degree in biology from Valparaiso University, where she was a scholar in the honors humanities program, and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she was part of the magazine publishing program.
