“Reinventing for the New Normal— Are you prepared?” was the theme of the 2016 World Conference on Fabric and Home Care hosted by AOCS on October 4–7, 2016, in Singapore.

“A recurring theme in presentations from both industry leaders and external thought leaders was the increased pace of change in global demographics, business models, communication trends and the impact these will have on the fabric and home care business. Subjects like frugal innovation, the circular economy, design-driven innovation and e-commerce disruptions highlighted these trends and challenged everyone to check their assumptions on the potential for disruptive change of the fabric and home care business of the next decade,” said Keith Grime, General Chair.

The conference gathered more than 450 international executives and decision-makers, representing 32 countries and 136 companies, who influence the future of the fabric and home care industry.

Attendees learned about perspectives on the technology, products and business trends of the global fabric and home care industry, and beyond, from speakers representing Amazon, BASF, Euromonitor, Henkel, Kao, Lion, P&G, Unilever, Wilmar and more.

  • The program featured 23 oral presentations and 15 Technology Showcase presentations
  • The Exhibition showcased 13 companies from across the globe
