Aflatoxins B1, B2, and G1 in Corn, Cottonseed, Peanuts, and Peanut Butter, ELISA Method

This method references one or more additional AOCS methods, which will be included with the purchase of this method.

DEFINITION
This method specifies a screening procedure based on an enzyme-linked immunosorbent screening assay (ELISA) for the detection of aflatoxins B1, B2, and G1. The method is based on an international collaborative study conducted jointly by AOAC and IUPAC.

SCOPE
Applicable to screening aflatoxin B1, B2, and G1 contamination in whole cottonseed and peanut butter at =20 ng/g and in corn and canned peanuts at =30 ng/g. If a false negative rate of <5% is required, perform duplicate ELISA on the same test sample extract. Re-analyze positive samples by official, quantitative method.
