Ground corn kernal CRMs, AOCS 0407-A, AOCS 0407-B, and AOCS 0607-A, have been produced by AOCS Technical Services in 2007.  These CRMs have been prepared according to ISO Guides 30-35 and are intended to serve as control material for third party testing of corn for transformation events GA21 and MIR604.  The purity of the conventional and GA21 corn was verified using DNA-based detection methods.  The purity of the MIR604 corn was verified using protein- and DNA- based detection methods.  AOCS 0407-A, AOCS 0407-B, and AOCS 0607-A are available in 27 -mL glass headspace vials.  The conventional Corn (NP2673), the GA21 (NP2673GT21) corn, and the MIR 604 (SY-1851-104) corn were clean seed quality provided by Syngenta Biotechnology Inc, Research Triangle Park, NC, USA.  The corn was processd and then packaged under a Nitrogen enviroment.  The ground sample shall be stored dry in a sealed container at +4°C in the dark.
