Canola leaf DNA Certified Reference Materials AOCS 0208-A were produced by AOCS Technical Services in 2008. These CRMs have been prepared according to ISO Guides 30-35 and are intended to serve as a control group for third party testing of canola for transformation events and for no other purpose. The purity of the genetically modified canola was verified using DNA- based detection    methods. AOCS 0208-A is available in sterile, 0.5ml skirted screw-cap self-sealing tubes. Bayer CropScience, Gent, Belgium provided the transgenic canola DNA which was extracted from clean leaves. The sample shall be stored in the self-sealing tube at +4 C.

AOCS 0306-B, AOCS 0306-F, and AOCS 0306-G are also available in sterile, 0.5ml skirted screw-cap self-sealing tubes. Bayer CropScience, Gent, Belgium provided the conventional Canola DNA and the transgenic Canola DNA which were extracted from clean leaves. The purity of the conventional and transgenic Canola was verified using DNA- based detection methods.  The sample shall be stored in the self-sealing tube at +4 C in the dark.
