HOME > MEMBERSHIP > DIVISIONS > SURFACT > ![]() Mission The objective of the Surfactants and Detergents (S&D) Division is to promote professional interest, communication, and competence of individuals interested in all aspects of surfactants and detergents. This objective is attained by discussion of the sciences and technologies associated with the development and production of surfactants and detergents. Topics include soaps, oleochemicals, formulation, manufacturing, marketing, detergency performance-test methods, processing, analysis, packaging, fragrances, and ancillary additives. Awards This program was established to enable junior level faculty to attend the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo in order to participate in the S&D Division sessions. The grant would provide part of the necessary funds to attend the AOCS Annual Meeting & Expo and hopefully encourage the recipients along with their students to become active in the Division and the Society.
