The award is given to an individual, organization or group that has made an outstanding positive impact on the soybean industry and the soybean checkoff. The presentation was made to List at the 2007 Commodity Classic held in Tampa, Florida, USA from February 27 to March 3. List is employed by the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and works at the USDA-ARS National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR) at Peoria, Illinois.
