News Briefs:

HPLC - LSc Method for Phospholipid Composition Approved
Last autumn ILPS submitted their validated method for quantitative analyses of the Phospholipid composition in lecithin to AOCS. Richard Cantrill, Technical Director of AOCS announced that the AOCS Analytical Committee has approved the method. Official publication is expected soon.

31P-NMR Round Robin is on Schedule
Within the American Organization of Analytical Chemists (AOAC), Bernd Diehl of Spectral Service Laboratories Germany has organized a round robin with 23 laboratories, analyzing four types of lecithin. ILPS Analytical Secretary Dr. Diehl will present the first results at the Annual Meeting in session PHO 4, General Phospholipids, on May 16.
