AOCS Annual Meeting May 13-16 in Québec City
This year's Annual Meeting offers Feed Microscopy Division members a robust technical program and three networking events.

The technical program is online, including oral presentations and poster presentations. Updates and other conference information can be found at the official Annual Meeting webpage.

Division members may also be interested in the Intermediate/Advanced Agricultural Microscopy Short Course "Focusing on Detecting and Identifying Ingredients of Animal Origin and the American/Canadian Ruminant Feed Bans." The short course will be held May 16 through 18, at Université Laval, Québec City. This short course will be offered in English with French translation assistance available. The AOCS Feed Microscopy Division will present this short course with a focus on the American and Canadian ruminant feed bans and the identification of animal products in feeds. Even in an era of increased biotechnological methods, microscopy is an essential skill for all feed analysts from academia, industry, and regulating bodies that wish to ensure the quality of feeds. Participants will develop new skills while learning in a comfortable and friendly laboratory/classroom setting through lectures and hands-on experience. The small class size allows for plenty of one-on-one instruction. Click here for more information on the short course, including a list of instructors and a complete itinerary.

Be sure to register by April 13, 2007, to receive the early registration fees. Click here for registration information.

Remember to sign up for the Feed Microscopy Division Luncheon when registering for the meeting. The luncheon will be Tuesday, May 15, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Other Feed Microscopy networking events include the Roundtable Discussion Monday, May 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the Board Meeting Sunday, May 13, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
