Foundation Funded Awards
The AOCS Foundation strongly believes in supporting the efforts of students studying in the fats and oils fields. The following awards are currently available.

AOCS Thomas H. Smouse Memorial Fellowship Award
The Archer Daniels Midland Foundation, the AOCS, the AOCS Foundation, and the family and friends of Dr. Smouse have established a fellowship program designed to encourage and support outstanding graduate research in a field of study consistent with areas of interest to the AOCS. Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Foundation this award is fully endowed.

Honored Student Award
This award recognizes graduate students at any institution of higher learning, in any area of science dealing with fats and lipids, who are doing research toward an advanced degree and who are interested in the areas of science and technology.
