Sophistication and use of miniaturization in sensors and analytical technologies for in-the-field high-throughput applications is increasing at an astounding rate. Combined with remote sensed imaging and mapping, micro- to nano-sized sensors and detection technologies are revolutionizing the analytical chemistry arena. This Hot Topic session will present different facets of this area to highlight the need for increased awareness among analytical and oil scientists.
