9th AOCS Short Course on Biodiesel: Processing, Chemistry, and Production

The biodiesel industry has been expanding steadily as the new processing plants are coming on-line. Qualified engineers, chemists, plant managers, and technicians are in high demand to manage these facilities economically producing high-quality products. This program was organized to review biodiesel, chemistry,  processing, fuel quality, regulations, unit operations, and all other practical aspects to enhance plant efficiency and increase overall profitability of the operations.  

Participants learned about individual unit operations involved in biodiesel production, biodiesel market trends and regulations in the U.S. and Europe, basics of diesel engines, fuel properties and analysis, and biodiesel plant design.

This short course was designed for both experienced and entry-level staff including: entrepreneurs, marketing staff, plant operators, engineers, chemists, technicians, and anyone who would like to get into the biodiesel business.
