Bioriginal Food & Science Corp. is the world's leading supplier of essential fatty acid oils, including flax, evening primrose, borage (starflower), black currant, and fish, as well as CLA. Delivery systems range from bulk oil and capsules to finished, packaged product. In addition to the standard oil or seed formats, we have the capability to supply highly concentrated EFA oils and water-soluble EFA powders.
Our vertical integration, strategic alliances, rigorous quality control and geographic location all contribute to our ability to guarantee a continuous supply of the cleanest, purest product on the market today. In recognition of our unique, vertically integrated approach to innovative product development, Bioriginal received a national Citation for Innovative Product Development in the 1998 Canadian National Entrepreneur of the Year awards. By incorporating research, sourcing, processing, marketing, and distribution, we control all the variables necessary for success in today's competitive marketplace.
Bioriginal was the first company in Canada to establish pharmaceutical level GMP standards for our oil processing, and be certified as such by Health Canada. All our oils are non-GMO and Meet WHO Codex standards for edible oil safety. We test for pesticides and other contaminants and provide a Certificate of Analysis with every shipment. Our company was built on science, and we continue to be a leader in EFA research. Our R&D team works closely with the biotech community, staying abreast of the latest research and participating in clinical trials. We have patents pending for proprietary manufacturing methods, as well as proprietary plant strains.

Bioriginal Food & Science Corp. is a company built on science and innovation. Founded in 1993 by a small group of entrepreneurs in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, Bioriginal has grown to become the world's leading supplier of essential fatty acids (EFAs). In the early years the combination of vision, commitment, and scientific expertise earned Bioriginal both local and national recognition with the 1994 ABEX New Venture Award, the 1996 SABEX Award, and the 1998 Ernst & Younge Canadian National Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
With success came expansion. In 1997 Bioriginal opened a new processing plant in Asquith, Saskatchewan. My 1998 the head office moved to a new location in Saskatoon with ample office space for a growing number of employees. Bioriginal also expanded its EFA product line to include fish oils, concentrates, and a broad spectrum of specialty oils through agreements with two of the world?s leading fish and specialty oil suppliers. By 2000 the company's global reach prompted Bioriginal to expand its operating base to include an office in the Netherlands. Today Bioriginal sources, processes, and distributes natural products around the globe.
